Boy Thrashed and Hanged:-
In a shocking incident of mob lynching that has surfaced from the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan, a young boy was hanged from tree upside down for having vandalised the idols in the Udaipurwati Shiv Mandir. The rage of the local people was uncontrollable and they thrashed him brutally before he was hanged from tree. Boy Thrashed Boy Thrashed and Hanged-Boy Thrashed and Hanged It has been reported by the local people that the boy was completely intoxicated when he committed the wrongful act and that he had been disturbing the peace of the town frequently at other instances. The local people did not wait for the police to take action and took the matter into their own hands and as a result, the boy was nearly beaten to death and hanged from tree on a spot near the temple itself. The Rajasthan police has now taken cognizance of the acts of the local people and is conducting an investigation into the matter. The police is now ensuring that the boy undergoes proper treatment in a nearby hospital. Boy Thrashed Boy Thrashed and Hanged-Boy Thrashed and Hanged Expected Action by Authorities The legislative assembly of Rajasthan had passed a Bill in the year 2019 in which mandatory jail and a hefty fine between 1 lakh and 5 lakh rupees had been planned to be levied against any person accused of mob lynching. The Bill has yet not been implemented owing to strong protests by the Leader of Opposition who wanted the matter to be referred to an unbiased committee. However, the discussion on the Bill reflects that the Rajasthan government has plans to take the crime of mob lynching seriously. Actions will be taken by the local court upon the accused after they are identified by the police.
