Israel has intensified its airstrikes in Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah strongholds and killing over 400 fighters. Amid rising tensions, thousands of civilians are fleeing the conflict, while international reactions remain divided. The UAE has launched a relief campaign, sending aid to support Lebanon’s growing humanitarian needs.

Israel has significantly escalated its military operations in Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah strongholds in southern Beirut with airstrikes on Saturday. The strikes, which also hit a Palestinian refugee camp in the north for the first time, marked a new phase in the ongoing conflict. Local reports described the bombardments as "very violent," causing widespread destruction and sparking panic in the affected areas.

Israeli military officials reported that more than 400 Hezbollah fighters have been killed since the start of ground operations in southern Lebanon. Among the casualties are 30 high-ranking Hezbollah commanders, according to Israeli military spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari. The Israeli army has also urged residents in Beirut's southern suburbs to evacuate for their safety, as it prepares for further military action.

The escalating conflict comes amid growing regional tensions, with Israel reportedly preparing for a larger attack on Tehran following missile strikes on Israeli targets earlier this week. As Israel ramps up its operations, the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon continues to worsen. Thousands of civilians, including Palestinian refugees, are fleeing the conflict zones, exacerbating the refugee crisis.

Meanwhile, the international community is responding with mixed reactions. French President Emmanuel Macron criticized Israel’s military actions, calling for a halt in arms deliveries. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sharply condemned these remarks, accusing Macron of undermining Israel's fight against Iranian-backed forces.

In response to the growing humanitarian needs, the UAE has launched a relief campaign, sending 40 tonnes of medical aid to Lebanon.
